HERMAN is back! The ground-breaking offbeat cartoon panel has returned to the comic page with a mix of classic cartoons and fabulously funny new material.
Jim Unger, one of the most innovative comic geniuses of all time, retired to the Bahamas after 20 years of cartooning and more than 6,000 original comics to his credit. But not for long: Now living in Victoria, British Columbia, Unger has been updating his vast archive and creating hundreds of new HERMAN gags.
The best-selling creator has sold millions of HERMAN book collections in more than 25 countries and was twice honored by the National Cartoonists Society as Best Syndicated Panel. Born in London, Unger floated from job to job -- including soldier, policeman, office clerk and repo man -- before realizing his phenomenal comedic and illustrative talent.
So grab onto your funny bone and get re-acquainted with HERMAN, one of the most hilarious and successful comic strips ever to be syndicated in newspapers.
Jim Unger

Jim Unger was born in England, later in Canada, once more in the Bahamas, and finally again in Canada. Jim is one of the few cartoonists who are actually funny in person as well as on the comic pages. Unfortunately this was not considered an asset at work. Jim floated from job to job -- a soldier in the British Army, a London bobby, an insurance clerk, car repo man, and a designer at a small weekly newspaper where his phenomenal comedic and illustrative talent was eventually discovered.
