Keith Knight was born and raised in the Boston area on a steady diet of sports, racism and Warner Bros. cartoons. While attending college in Salem, Massachusetts, he began drawing comics for his college newspaper in 1985.
His autobiographical strips went on to become some of the most popular comics in the alt-weekly scene of the mid-nineties, receiving praise from Spike Lee, Dave Eggers, Garry Trudeau, Harvey Pekar, Aaron McGruder and Lynn Johnston.
Besides "the Knight Life", Knight draws two other strips, "(th)ink" and "the K Chronicles". He is also a contributor to MAD and ESPN the magazine. Knight is a recipient of the Harvey Award, several Glyph
awards, and a Comic-Con Inkpot award for career achievement.
Not bad for a former Michael Jackson impersonator.

He believes Tiger Woods and I were switched at birth. He acts grumpy, but beneath the gruff exterior is a heart of gold (or depleted plutonium).
