Longest Cartoon Strip

(April 4, 2014) -- Cartoonist Lincoln Peirce, the creator behind the popular comic strip "Big Nate," will set out to break the world record for "Longest Cartoon Strip." "Big Nate" runs in more than 300 newspapers nationwide and has catapulted into a book series and a musical adaptation. The TODAY anchors will help Peirce lay down a 3,944 foot long cartoon strip through Rockefeller Center including the iconic Rock Center Ice Rink, The Channel Gardens and the TODAY plaza.

The event will take place Fri., April 11.
