Larry Wright Retires Kit ‘N’ Carlyle Comic Panel

(November 5, 2015) Kansas City, Mo. — After more than three decades of entertaining newspaper readers, Larry Wright has announced the decision to retire his Kit ‘N’ Carlyle comic panel. The final Kit ‘N’ Carlyle installment will run on Saturday, November 7.

Originally created in 1980 and syndicated by Universal Uclick (formerly Universal Press Syndicate), the comic panel appeared in hundreds of papers as part of the popular NEA package, a service that provides top-quality comics, puzzles and text features to newspapers at affordable prices.

“Wright’s wit and talent earned him a well-deserved spot on the comics page, where he has entertained readers for more than 30 years," Universal Uclick President John Glynn said. “It’s been a privilege to represent Kit ’N’ Carlyle and we wish Wright the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

Fans can access the Kit ‘N’ Carlyle archive through GoComics, a comics aggregate website owned by Universal Uclick, at gocomics.com/kitandcarlyle.

Kit ‘N’ Carlyle chronicles the life of a single working woman, Kit, and her spunky, mischievous kitten. Together, the pair finds humor in the daily rhythms of feline/human existence.
