Meet the Cast of Dear Eugenia

Eugenia Last, whose astrology columns are syndicated by Universal Uclick worldwide, believes there is no such thing as failure. She considers the ancient art of astrology the modern art of timing. By studying the positions and aspects of celestial bodies within a person's birth data, astrology becomes a practical tool that can help individuals make sound decisions and develop solid relationships.
  • DEAR EUGENIA: Two months ago, my girlfriend left me without giving me a reason. Last month she told me to leave her alone and forget her. I've stopped contacting her for the last three weeks, and she hasn't even tried to get in touch with me. I got an astrology reading from the Internet that told me not to contact her.

I don't know -- should I believe that reading? There are many complaints about the astrologer who gave it.

What should I do? Is my ex is the one? Do we have a future together? She was born Oct. 7, 1987, at 11 p.m. I was born Sept. 3, 1971, at 4:15 p.m. -- Virgo

DEAR VIRGO: The problem isn't with you or the comparison you have with your Libra girlfriend -- she just isn't ready to settle down with you and probably never will be. You fall in an area of her chart that has to do with learning and communication; therefore, you have been more of a mentor/teacher than a lover. Unfortunately, she is reevaluating her love life emotionally and physically and considering what she really wants. Apparently it isn't you. You fall in an area of her chart that deals with dead ends.

You are in a high cycle regarding love right now. Consider getting back into the dating scene. Consider an Aries, Gemini, Leo, an older Libra, Capricorn or Aquarius.

DEAR EUGENIA: How do I know if I am going through a Saturn return? I was born May 14, 1959, at 8:55 a.m. I am wondering if that is what I am going through now. I have been in a cycle of bad romances and disappointing friendships. I'm feeling pretty low and beat up from the whole thing. Can you offer some insight? -- Tired Taurus

DEAR TIRED TAURUS: To make it a little easier for you to figure out if you are going through a Saturn return or when you will be, the first one happens around the tender age of 28/29. I refer to this one as your first wake-up call. It's the time to grow up and begin to mature into the stellar person you want to become.

The second Saturn return happens around the age of 58. I refer to this one as a second chance to find your purpose and follow what's in your heart. It's your second wake-up call.

The final Saturn return usually happens around the age of 88. If you are fortunate enough to live that long, I refer to this one as finding peace. It's your third and final wake-up call. It's usually the one that makes you strive to chug along and enjoy the gift of life as long as possible or to say enough is enough, that's all folks.

The age that your Saturn return hits can vary a little -- it's based on when Saturn has transited through all the constellations and returned to the place it was when you were born. It often takes a couple of years for it to sink in and for you to react. Therefore, most of you will probably remember making changes after the fact, not necessarily when your Saturn return takes place. However, if you are aware that your Saturn return is heading your way, you can prepare to face it head-on and deal with whatever transpires much faster.

As for you personally, Saturn is not the culprit. Transiting Mars has stationed in the constellation of Virgo last November and will not be moving on until July. This has fallen in an area of your chart that deals with communication, friends, relatives and how you get along with others. Unfortunately, it is adversely positioned to your natal Mars, which means plenty of disagreements. Hang in there -- it's almost over.

DEAR EUGENIA: In July 2008 I was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis, which turned my world upside down. I had to relearn how to do everyday tasks. Do you see anything pertaining to this in my chart? I was born July 2, 1960, at 7:18 p.m. Any insight would be helpful. -- Cancer

DEAR CANCER: You were diagnosed when your natal chart was undergoing very poor and limiting transits in an area that deals with chronic health. The possibility of poor diagnosis was present; however, I feel that it had more to do with not offering you as many choices as you actually have.

With a similar transit moving through this area of your chart, I believe it's time to readdress your options between now and July. An obscure form of treatment will lead to the best results.
